Robert Half is looking for a qualified Accounts Payable Specialist to join a growing manufacturing plant in Cynthiana. In this contract-to-hire position, the Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process. This includes accurately processing invoices, reconciling vendor statements, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Process invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper coding, approval, and entry into the accounting system.
  2. Reconcile vendor statements, resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.
  3. Review purchase orders, contracts, and other documentation to ensure accuracy of invoicing and pricing.
  4. Communicate with vendors to resolve billing issues, disputes, and inquiries.
  5. Prepare and process weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc payments via check, ACH, and wire transfer.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable records and documentation.
  7. Assist with month-end closing processes, including accruals and account reconciliations.
  8. Collaborate with other departments, including purchasing and receiving, to ensure proper invoice approval and processing.
  9. Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in accounts payable processes and procedures.
  10. Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by management.



Qualifications:

•Excellent organizational skills and the ability to function well in a fast-paced environment

•High School Diploma or GED required, additional education or accounting classes preferred

•1-2 years previous accounting/finance experience

• Microsoft Office skills with a strong focus in Excel

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills

•Multitasking and prioritizing capabilities

•Exceptional attention to detail
