Merchandiser (Part-Time)

Overview:

Waterway has an immediate opportunity for a part-time Merchandiser supporting our retail convenience store operations in the St. Louis, MO area. This position will be part-time variable hour with a very flexible schedule (approx 20-25 hours/week).

 

As the Merchandiser you’ll play a critical support role for our retail operations by driving customer satisfaction and profitability by ensuring that our retail convenience stores are fully stocked, well merchandised, and looking great for our customers. You’ll be able to work a flexible schedule and be able to visit each of the 9 (soon to be 10) St. Louis locations weekly to provide support to the local store teams. This position will report to the St. Louis Operations Leader.

 

Compensation and Benefits:

• Competitive rate starting at $18, consistent with job duties, requirements, and experience

Responsibilities:

• Visit each retail convenience store weekly.
• Review inventory position and sales reports of each store.
• Place accurate orders with supplies in a timely manner.
• Review store appearance and provide timely and effective feedback to the store teams.
• Assist with receiving product, complete inventory audits, product adjustments, and transfers.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• A minimum of 1 year of inventory control, procurement, or merchandising experience.
• Computer proficient and experienced with Microsoft products.
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel to all St. Louis locations.
• Possess a valid drivers’ license (and acceptable driving record).
• Able to pass a post-offer criminal background and drug screen.
• Authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.

Physical Requirements:

• Environmental – typically works inside store locations, with requirement to be able to work onsite at locations outside for limited periods of time.
• Physical – periods of extended standing, bending, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, reach above and below shoulder level.
• Vision and Hearing – Far and near visual acuity, peripheral vision and depth perception. Hear, understand, and distinguish speech from other sounds.
• Language – must be able to fluently speak and understand English when communicating with other team members, managers, and customers for business related purposes.
• Attendance – maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance. Work as assigned schedule.
