Company Description:  You'll be working for a leading provider of commercial plumbing services, known for our commitment to quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction. We are currently seeking an experienced Senior / Journeyman Commercial Service Plumber to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in commercial plumbing systems and a proven track record of success in servicing restaurants and bars.
 

Able to work without oversight and able to do a job from start to finish. 4PM isn't always the end of the day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in commercial and industrial facilities.
  • Diagnose complex plumbing issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Lead and manage plumbing projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other trade professionals to coordinate services.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentice plumbers, enhancing team skill levels.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and building codes.
  • Maintain accurate records of services performed, materials used, and time spent on tasks.
  • Offer exceptional customer service, maintaining professional communication with clients.
Restaurant & Bar Specific Responsibilities: 
  • Repairing and Installing Commercial Grade Fixtures: This includes sinks, toilets, faucets, and showers, which often have higher usage rates and require more durable materials than residential fixtures. 
  • Clearing Drain Clogs and Blockages: Frequently addressing issues in kitchen sinks, floor drains, and other high-use areas where grease, food particles, and other debris can cause blockages.
  • Grease Trap Installation and Maintenance: Essential in commercial kitchens to prevent grease from entering and clogging the wastewater system.
  • Servicing Commercial Water Heaters: Repairing, replacing, and maintaining large-capacity water heaters that cater to the high hot water demands of these establishments.
  • Fixing Leaks: Identifying and repairing leaks in pipes, fixtures, and appliances to prevent water damage and conserve water.
  • Backflow Prevention and Testing: Installing and testing backflow prevention devices to protect water supplies from contamination, a critical service for public health.
  • Routine Maintenance Checks: Conducting regular inspections and maintenance of plumbing systems to ensure they are functioning correctly and to prevent future issues.
  • Installing and Repairing Commercial Dishwashers and Ice Machines: These are essential appliances in bars and restaurants, requiring specialized plumbing knowledge for installation and repair.
  • Pipe Repair and Replacement: Addressing issues with aging or damaged pipes, including copper, PVC, or PEX piping systems.
  • Emergency Plumbing Services: Providing prompt response to urgent plumbing issues like burst pipes, severe leaks, or major clogs, which are especially critical in hospitality businesses where downtime affects operations and customer experience.

Qualifications:

  • Journeyman Plumber certification or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial plumbing services.
  • Proficient in the installation, repair, and maintenance of a wide range of plumbing systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and plumbing schematics.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Commitment to safety and knowledge of relevant building codes and regulations.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Physical ability to perform the demands of the job.
