Position:
We are seeking a Drafter for our South Chesterfield, VA location.


Position Purpose:
The drafter will help the mechanical engineers to streamline the engineering releases to assembly and manufacturing. The person is responsible to help the engineering managers to update the departmental standards. Knowledge of Solidworks will be required to help create and update engineering drawings.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Serves as liaison between mechanical engineering, assembly, and manufacturing departments.
  • Package the engineering drawings for manufacturing and assembly.
  • Assists engineers to build the Bills of Material.
  • Create engineering standard operational procedures. (SOP)
  • Update engineering standards.
  • Assist with minor design tasks using Solidworks.
  • Create engineering drawings using Solidworks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Highschool Diploma or equivalent
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Solidworks and EPDM
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Must possess a basic understanding of engineering processes and the ability to map to a flow chart.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or equivalent
  • Certified in the use of Solidworks.
