ANPI has an immediate opening for an Environmental Manager to join our leadership team. We are seeking an individual who is committed to ensuring compliance with applicable environmental regulations and strategically advancing environmental management systems for a chemical manufacturing operation.


Requirements

Under limited supervision, provides leadership, guidance and technical expertise for environmental projects and programs at a chemical manufacturing operation in southeast Arizona.


· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local rules and regulations including: CERCLA, CAA, CWA, RCRA, SDWA, etc.

· Interfaces on behalf of the company with regulatory agencies, legal teams and consultants

· Manage the plant's environmental strategic planning and budget

· Investigate and resolve potential compliance issues, questions, or complaints received from within the company, customers, regulatory agencies and/or the public

· Maintains recordkeeping and reporting requirements such as: emissions inventories, GHG reporting, chemical inventories, hazardous materials management, hazardous waste generation, SPCC, SWPPP, etc.

· Perform site inspections and ensure effective implementation of corrective actions

· Ensure all environmental permitting, monitoring, reporting, renewals and record retention is successfully completed

· Train personnel and contractors on applicable environmental requirements

· Maintain a high level of knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations

· Determines and assesses environmental risk

· Reviews and develops appropriate recommendations regarding planned modification of the facility

· Serves as Project Manager or technical expert on environmental projects

· Evaluates and administers contracts with vendors for the provision of services and equipment

· Provides leadership to less experienced engineers and technicians

· Performs other duties as required



Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or other related Science and five (5) years of related experience, OR

· Master's degree in a related field and three (3) years of related experience


Preferred Qualifications:

· Certification or familiarity with HAZWOPER, Method 9, DOT, EMS, Auditing, Asbestos management, Water Treatment Operator, CHMM, etc.)

· Previous experience in an industrial manufacturing operation

· Developed leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence and motivate personnel

· Strong analytical skills with ability to make critical decisions when necessary

· Self-directed with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
