Duties :

• The applicant shall detect and report smokes or fires within location.
• The applicant shall monitor and forward radio messages, and collect, record, and report daily fire weather observations.
• The applicant shall know the location and names of the topographic features of the country which can be seen. Refer to local landmarks repeatedly to check locations of smokes.

Qualification:

• the applicant must have special qualities: good health, good eyesight, interest in the job, ability to live in isolated locations for long periods of time, read maps, use fire finder, use radio and other tools, and to think clearly and coolly in an emergency.
