West Chester Township has an excellent opportunity for a career in fire suppression, prevention and emergency medical service. Starting salary Step 1 - $64,757 (Wage to be adjusted, currently under negotiations with Union). Applicants with Full-time Firefighter/Paramedic service with a Village, City, County, or other Public Agency, may start as high as Step 3 ($72,076.21 – Wage to be adjusted). The applicant's career history will be utilized in determining their entry level.  Excellent benefit package.

Required Qualifications:

• Certified by the State of Ohio as an EMT or Paramedic and a minimum of Ohio Firefighter Level II at date of job offer
• Must be 18 years old & a high school graduate or equivalent at the time of appointment
• EMT applicants must obtain Paramedic Certification within 3 Years of hire through a Department paid for Paramedic Program
• Must be physically able to perform all firefighter/paramedic duties. 
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license

• Hazardous Materials Technician and State of Ohio Fire Safety Inspector certifications or have ability to obtain within one year of hire
