Custodian

Location: Beloit, KS

Reports to: Director of Maintenance

Status: Full-Time

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

This position is responsible for custodial duties in assigned areas. This is a full time, non-tenured, hourly position.

SCOPE OF THE POSITION

This position is responsible for custodial duties and light general maintenance relating to the Beloit campus.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• General repairs in offices classrooms
• General trash removal
• General cleaning of classrooms, offices, break rooms, and restrooms
• Carpet cleaning, floor stripping and waxing
• Create and maintain a safe working environment
• Painting when needed
• Ordering maintenance supplies
• Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance supervisor

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND PERSONAL QUALIFICIATIONS

• Good communication skills.
• Experience with a variety of shop tools and equipment
• Mechanical Ability
• Equipment operations

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE

• Custodial experience

       Experience with cleaning chemicals

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

• High school diploma required

COMPENSATION

• 12 Month Position
• Compensation based on experience
