Orthopedic Associates (OA) is recruiting a Medical Assistant- Clinical to join our company. OA is a privately-owned, regional leader in comprehensive orthopedic care. This position will be based out of our Fairborn location but will require travel to other offices as business needs arise. Since 1985, patients have placed their trust in our specialized care of the hand and upper extremities, spine, shoulder, elbow, hip, knee, foot and ankle, trauma, total joint and sports medicine. With over 30 providers, Orthopedic Associates provides patient care at multiple locations throughout the Miami Valley region. We are seeking a motivated candidate who demonstrates Honor, Integrity and Service while developing “Focus” and “Trust” with patients and team members.

SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES:

  • Customer Service – treat patients with individualized, compassionate care.
  • Patient Care in Clinic (including bracing and stitch removal)
  • Removing dressing/splints
  • Removing casts
  • Removing braces
  • Removing sutures/staples
  • Prepare rooms for patient visits, ensure room is clean & proper equipment & supplies are available
  • Ensure adequate stock of all necessary equipment supplies in designated areas at established par levels
  • Perform vital signs and reports abnormalities to assigned MA, PA or physician
  • Scribe HPI (History of present illness)
  • Verify
    1. Allergies
    2. Medications
    3. Past medical history
    4. Past surgeries

Required Education and Experience:

  • Health care industry experience
  • CMA, RMA or CCMA

Work Authorization

  • Must be able to provide required documentation stating that the employee is legal to work in the United States.
