ABOUT STANADYNE:

Our Jacksonville manufacturing facility has about 250 employees operating over three shifts.

Job Summary:

Performs the most complex troubleshooting of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components on all machinery including the most complex types of production and facility equipment under limited supervision..

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Install, monitor, inspect, troubleshoot, and ensure reliability of all electrical, electronic control systems and components, process equipment, and AC/DC utilities
  • Diagnose and remedy complex problems related to incoming power irregularities and substation problems
  • Learn and maintain the variety of electromechanical starters and motors using sophisticated electronic interface boards, VFDs, PLCs, HMIs, instrumentation, and controllers
  • Procure supplies and spare parts to ensure effective and timely maintenance of equipment
  • Maintain and revise instruction manuals, drawings, schematics, maintenance logs, and other documentation, as required
  • Ability to troubleshoot all aspects of Medium/High Voltage equipment for an industrial production facility
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Work safely to prevent on the job injuries by following safety rules and regulations at all times including proper wearing of company PPE
  • Participates in the Safety Programs and proactively upholds the Safety Culture
  • Understand start up, shutdown, and emergency procedures
  • Responsible for daily housekeeping duties including but not limited to immediate work area
  • Diagnoses mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems, disassembles, repairs or replaces defective or worn parts, adjusts, rebuilds or modifies complicated machinery as required.
  • Designs, constructs and assembles machines from specified mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic components to produce parts to blueprint specifications.
  • Removes, installs, inspects, repairs or replaces mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components on all, including the most complicated production and facility equipment.
  • Monitors, troubleshoots and diagnoses, modifies and repairs problems found on all machinery including the most complicated production and facility equipment.
  • Sets up and operates all machine tools in the department to perform expert quality work for required repairs.
  • General knowledge of electronic hardware, including sensors, actuators, and motors.
  • Ability to organize and plan work on small individual tasks.
  • Must possess good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to begin to create electrical schematics and system block diagrams.
  • Basic understanding of programming using either LabVIEW, PLC ladder logic, or other embedded control languages.
  • Experience with software controls and software development tools, preferably in an automotive environment.
  • Reads and interprets complicated mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic blueprints and schematics drawings.
  • Competently performs cross trade activities as required to satisfy work assignments.

Qualifications:

  • Must ensure 5S processes standards are met.
  • Must be able to understand and follow instructions in English.
  • Must be competent in understanding and interpreting blueprints and schematic diagrams.
  • Must have strong mechanical and electrical control's ability.
  • Must know how to use precision measuring equipment such as, but not limited to micrometers and verniers.
  • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Computer Skills to include Microsoft Excel, Email.
  • Excellent Communication

Tools and Equipment Used:

  • Standard mechanic hand and power tools.
  • Electrical testing equipment (AMP meters, volt meters, OHM meters).
  • Fork truck (electric).
  • Hand lift truck.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School graduate and Trade School graduate. Additional certification desired.
  • Must have 8 year’s machine repair experience in a similar environment.
  • Automation, mechanical, electrical PLC experience, required; (Alan Brady), a plus.
  • Must have solid shop math skills.

Travel Requirements:

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able and willing to climb and work at elevated locations.
  • Must be able to lift heavy objects on a regular basis, do repetitive task

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able and willing to work inside and outside throughout the year in the various environments present within building facilities or outside grounds.
