KVC Kansas is looking for a Case Manager who will provide direct, in-home services to children and families to reunite children with their biological family.

KVC is seeking a Case Manager!!!**This position will cover Hiawatha and Marshall County**

There is a $2000 Sign on Bonus associated with this position. It only applies to External Candidates

The Case Manager will:

  • assist in the continued goals of the organization to build a child welfare system that is safe, secure, and family centered. KVC relies heavily on community connections and evidence-based practice to provide outstanding care to children and families.
  • provide direct, in-home services to children and families to reunite children with their biological family
  • lead case planning conferences with families using the strengths-based approach to assist clients in developing goals and objectives
  • demonstrate experience in working with children and families, superior organization and time management skills and professionalism.
  • maintain accurate and timely documentation of all interactions with clients. Strong computer skills are necessary to maintain documentation in KVC’s proprietary software
  • testify in court hearings and provide written updates to cases with court supervision

Due to the unique needs of the families we serve, this role does not have a predictable schedule. KVC staff have the flexibility to manage their own time to create a positive work-life balance, but there will be evening and weekend work required as well as significant travel time to visit families in their homes. Mileage reimbursement is provided for all company travel.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in social work, substance abuse/addictions/community counseling, human development, child and family development, applied family and youth studies, public health, health sciences, trauma studies, sociology/social services, education/early childhood, mental health/rehabilitation counseling, counseling psychology, marriage and family therapy, or psychology is required.
  • Ability to obtain a temporary or full licensure with the Kansas Behavioral Science Regulatory Board (ksbsrb.ks.org) within the first 90 days of employment is highly preferred, but not required.
  • Qualified applicants must be at least 21 years of age or older, have a valid driver's license and car insurance.
