Painter - Metals - Night Shift

• Capable of following written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Evaluate surface preparation to assure accuracy and compliance with SSPC code
• Apply coatings to wet mils necessary to achieve the dry mils required by the job descriptions.
• Knowledge of different types of coatings and application methods
• Knowledge of environment rules and regulations
• Use of grinders, chippers, sanders, and overhead cranes.
• Read and layout drawings all no paint zones and confirm spot marks are noted.
• Reading piece mark numbers and maintain through painting
• Need to know SSPC codes
• Maintain clean and organized work area and follows all safety rules.
• Operation and maintenance of all applicable equipment.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to constantly work in various indoor conditions including hot and cold temperatures, dust and noisy conditions.
• Must be able to lift a maximum weight up to 20 lbs. frequently; 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Must be able to carry a maximum weight up to 20 lbs. frequently; 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Frequent standing, walking, reaching forward, balancing, feeling, object handling, simple hand grasping, firm hand grasping, and operating controls will be required.
• Regular sitting, climbing stairs and ladders, reaching overhead, stooping, and crouching will be required.
• Must be able to properly wear all required Personal Protective Equipment.
