Stemper Auto Body in Madison, South Dakota has an IMMEDIATE opening for a full time Auto Body Technician!

Pay 36k to 120k per year. Competitive pay. Hourly, Salary or Flat rate depending on what fits you and depending on your experience.

We are open Monday-Friday 7:30-5:30 leaving your weekends to spend time with family and friends with an early release on some Friday's upon work completion.

Detailed Duties:

  • Operates and uses all body shop equipment properly and safely.
  • Keeps work areas clean.
  • Maintains tools and keeps equipment clean and in a proper state of repair.
  • Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment including respirator, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer.
  • Complies with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners, and other hazardous materials. Reports any deviations to management.
  • Understands, keeps abreast of and complies with federal, state and local regulations that affect body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA right to know etc.
  • Replace damaged body parts, including bumpers, fenders, hoods and trim.
  • Realign car frames and repair structural damage.
  • Fit, attach, and weld replacement parts into place.
  • Masks and protects parts that are not to be painted and coated.
  • Mix paint according to specifications.
  • Inspects painted units for quality of workmanship, noting any runs, sags or unpainted areas.
  • Cooperates and assists other personnel in the repair and prepping of vehicles.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
