Plasma Table Operator - Houghton Lake

Full time Plasma Table Operator position available. Operator is responsible for programming Komatsu TFP612 plasma table through Stryker software and set up of parts to be cut on the table as well as selecting raw material, loading/unloading by crane or fork truck. Must be able to work from verbal instruction, drawings, blueprints, sketches, bill of materials, cut lists, etc. Also will order raw material as needed per production requirements and grind/de-bur parts as needed.

This is a very busy position and flow of jobs/priorities changes daily, sometimes hourly. This position supplies material/product to both the Houghton Lake and Clio locations. Must be able to work independently in a high volume, high stress environment. Must be able to multitask to keep the flow of material onto the machine, prep the next set of material about to go on, program/upload the next job, debur parts coming off, deliver parts to correct area within building.

Ideal candidate must have physical capacity to lift/manipulate 50 lbs independently or up to 100 lbs with assistance. Must be able to work in an environment of varying temperatures, noise levels, odors, etc. Personal protective equipment must be worn at all times. A drawing background and/or program experience related to autodesk inventor, CNC based programming pertaining to water jet, machining, or laser cutting is ideal.
