Job Summary
Responsible for facilitating the preparation, development, planning, tracking and reporting of the plant’s investment budget and their corresponding capitalization, and the plant’s fixed assets
Summary of Essential Job Functions
- Facilitates the planning, preparation, development, and distribution of investment budgets and fixed assets
- Develops, organizes, and maintains files, documents, and materials relating to budgetary practices according to company policies
- Presents budget analysis and recommendations to management
- Oversees and compares departmental expenditures to original budget
- Plan, manage and track the status of the plant’s yearly investment budget working in conjunction with related departments
- Generates weekly investment status report
- Create material Purchase Requisitions(PRs) that utilizes investment budget, and tracks the material status
- Create service Purchase Orders(POs) that utilizes investment, and process invoice documents
- Verifies the completeness of each investment, and run monthly capitalization of fixed assets
- Reviews the investment budget to ensure the correct category and accuracy, and able to produce supporting documents for financial audits
- Create and verify the accuracy of the plant’s fixed assets
- Plan and execute yearly fixed asset audits
- Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to skillfully perform detailed statistical analyses of budget activities
- Ability to work independently and complete work on schedule
- Data analysis
- Organizational and detail-oriented skills
- Proficient in computer and software skills, Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, and SAP
- SAP software
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, however business needs may require additional hours worked
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- This position primarily operates in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, filing cabinets and fax machines
- This position does not supervise the work of others
- Travel is Travel is not expected for this position
- Ability to ascend/descend ladders in order to reach top shelves as necessary
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds at a time
Education:
- Associate’s Degree
OR
- High School Diploma/GED & 2 years of directly related work experience;
- Experience in Business Administration or analytical research and reporting of financial data preferred
- Proficiency in computer software Microsoft Office Suite and SAP preferred
