System One is currently seeking a talented Pool Repair Technician for a direct hire opportunity in Bluffton, SC. Summary: We are hiring for a full time Pool repair Technician in the Bluffton, Hilton head area. This position is responsible for performing various service and repair tasks on swimming pool equipment. Responsibilities: Safely operate a company vehicle to effectively pick up/ drop off materials and necessary equipment at the warehouse and progress from location to location as needed Examine and inspect swimming pool components, including motor, pumps, timers, skimmers and drains to locate cracks, breaks, leaks, or other problems Conduct routine and special inspections including but not limited to inspecting drain covers, hand covers, ensuring pool lights are properly fastened, the system is properly bonded, and all electrical hazards are tended to to ensure safety of the Client and proper functioning of the pool systems Transport and lift tools and equipment ranging from 20-50 lbs. from the warehouse to the company vehicle as well as from the company vehicle to the customers’ pools multiple times a day to adequately make repairs Read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications accompanying any necessary equipment to determine the feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components Follow drawings, schematics, charts, engineering orders, and technical publications provided by the company to ensure all repairs are made effectively using the necessary procedures and practices Maintain repair logs, documenting all preventive and corrective swimming pool maintenance using the Pool Tech mobile application on the company issued phone Clock in at the beginning of the day using the Pool Tech mobile application on the company issued work phone View job lists as well as materials needed for the day using the Pool Tech mobile application to accurately stock the truck for the workday Replace or repair worn, defective, or damaged components using equipment from the warehouse Check for corrosion, distortion, and invisible cracks in the swimming pools pump system to ensure no further damage occurs to the Client’s pool To stay current with the NEC, and Local, State and Federal Pool Codes and notify management and other Mechanics of changes that affect company operations Mark the job as completed on the Pool Tech mobile application once all the necessary repairs are made Contact the customer once the job is completed to communicate the status of pool system as well as follow up with any additional quotes through telephonic communication Other reasonable duties, as assigned by management Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent 2 years of professional pool care experience required, knowledge of pool mechanics/chemicals etc. Minimum of 3 years experience repairing and/or replacing pool and spa pumps, filters, computer controls, chlorine generators and propane heaters. Knowledge of troubleshooting and repairing pool pumps, heaters, filters, filtration systems motors, timers, lights, automated pool systems, and PVC plumbing is highly preferred but we also provide extensive on-site training. Knowledge of 110v and 220v electrical equipment Knowledge of water chemistry, leak detection, and spa repairs Must have a valid driver license for at least 3 years with no major infractions or significant points Must be able to pass pre-employment background screening, drug screening, and MVR (Motor Vehicle Records). Ability to life and carry up to 50lbs Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with management, other employees, and customers. Swimming ability #M1
