Safety Coordinator - Heavy Civil

Job Title: Field Safety Coordinator Location: New York Metropolitan Area Salary: $100,000 - $130,000 Industry: Civil Engineering The Candidate: Are you a Safety Coordinator with experience in the civil engineering industry, and are looking for your next move? The Company: Our client is a construction corporation in the New York metropolitan area in the utilities and heavy civil engineering market, with over 25 years of operation to boast. This is an opportunity you won't want to miss! Responsibilities: * Conduct daily inspections at job sites to ensure adherence to OSHA regulations and Site-Specific Health & Safety Plans. * Upload audit findings and relevant photos to safety platform. * Recognize existing and potential hazards and propose corrective measures. * Lead weekly toolbox talks and provide on-the-job training as necessary. * Investigate accidents and compile reports as mandated, aiding the Safety Director in pinpointing root causes and delivering preventative training. * Undertake specialized training as needed. * Fulfil other assigned duties and responsibilities. Requirements: * 4+ years of experience of construction field safety. * Must have a valid driver's license. * Experience in various aspects of heavy civil construction.
