Facility Operations Lead

The Facility Operations Lead is part of BOSK’s newly constructed electric vehicle battery manufacturing plant. This is a performance-based, 12-year, O&M contract providing hard services of MEP equipment within the facility, excluding the manufacturing and production equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong maintenance/hands-on technical experience and a leadership background. The role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and maintenance activities of the chiller facility. This includes managing a team of technicians, coordinating and prioritizing work orders, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining a high level of customer service. Conduct preventive maintenance, repair, installation, commissioning, and general servicing of chiller systems (including detailed troubleshooting of systems. Performs a variety of repairs and services in a specialized building system environment with a high emphasis on HVAC, Mechanical Systems, and building maintenance. Working knowledge of Electrical / Electronic BAS, and other similar types of related equipment and low voltage systems is a PLUS. Requirements Requires two-year technical degree or two years’ experience as an Operations & Maintenance Specialist, or completion of an apprenticeship program. Proven experience in facilities operations, maintenance, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role. Requires in-depth knowledge of various maintenance fundamentals sufficient to deal with service and repairs. Knowledge of the following trades/skills: electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills. Working on mission critical projects. Knowledge of OSHA codes and regulations. Working knowledge of Metasys (BMS) and low voltage control systems. Must be physically able to perform basic maintenance tasks to the highest caliber, which includes ability to: climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs., etc. Required to use a variety of hand and power tools or man lift. Requires Universal EPA Refrigeration Certification.
