Job Summary
- Perform admissions assessments, identify the physical and psychosocial needs of the patient. Develops a written plan using the assessment database.
- Plan and set priorities in the delivering of nursing care
- Evaluate patient’s symptoms, reaction, and progress. Observe, record, and report them to the physician as appropriate.
- Assess, plan and initiate patient education and discharge planning.
Education and/or Experience
- Graduate of Registered Nursing Education program.
- 1-2 years of experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
- Must have current RN licensure in the state of South Dakota and or meeting criteria.
- Current CPR, ACLS, PALS, TCAR, and TNCC certification or completion upon next available program.
Work Schedule
- Hours:
- Three, 12-hour shifts. 7:00am-7:00pm, 7:00pm-7:00am
- Every 3rd weekend/holiday rotation required on Med Surg.
