We are seeking a highly motivated Permanent Project Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in project accounting, as well as AP, materials, and subcontractors. In this role, you work on approximately 20 projects at a time as you split up the workload with the other Project Accountants.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of project accounting, including AP, cost accounting, and materials management
• Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded and reported in accordance with GAAP
• Work closely with project managers to develop project budgets and track actual costs against budgeted amounts
• Manage vendor and subcontractor relationships, including processing invoices and ensuring timely payment
• Monitor project progress and identify potential cost overruns or other financial risks
• Prepare monthly financial reports and forecasts for senior management
• Provide guidance and support to other members of the finance team as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred
• 2+ years of experience in project accounting, AP, cost accounting, and materials management in the construction industry
• Strong understanding of GAAP and other accounting principles
• Experience with Sage 300 or similar accounting software
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
