LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST

As a Learning and Development Specialist at Plymouth Housing, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our organization's mission of supporting the most vulnerable members of our community to leave homelessness behind forever. Reporting to the Learning and Development Director, you will contribute significantly to the execution of Plymouth's overall Learning and Development strategy. Your responsibilities will include partnering with stakeholders to assess learning needs, collaborating with subject matter experts to develop relevant content, and ensuring the delivery of accessible learning experiences that align with our mission, values, and goals. In addition to traditional L&D duties, you will have the opportunity to shape the direction of learning and development at Plymouth, requiring agility, a growth mindset, and the ability to lead change as our organization evolves to meet the needs of our community.

Plymouth Housing is a non-profit organization with apartment buildings throughout King County helping the most vulnerable members of our community leave homelessness behind forever. At Plymouth, we're not simply trying to get people off the streets. We provide supportive services like case management and health care so that our residents can thrive long-term. As part of our strategic vision, we are building internal behavioral health services and transforming our systems to address rapid growth and the changing needs of residents.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO BE DOING IN THIS ROLE AT PLYMOUTH HOUSING

  • Partnering with Plymouth stakeholders to assess and prioritize learning needs and develop plans for providing relevant learning opportunities.
  • Collaborating with subject matter experts to develop accessible learning content and identify resources for delivery.
  • Working closely with the DEI Core Team to integrate equitable and inclusive content and best practices into learning experiences.
  • Identifying and coordinating with external facilitators and speakers as needed. Managing all aspects of training offerings, including content design and delivery, venue logistics, vendor contracts, communication, registration, and evaluation.
  • Administering Plymouth's Learning Management System (LMS), maintaining user data, organizing content, and identifying optimization opportunities.
  • Collaborating with the HR team to review, update, and deliver comprehensive employee onboarding programs.
  • Facilitating New Employee Orientation sessions as needed.
  • Maintaining proficiency through participation in external training opportunities to stay abreast of current best practices and methods.
  • Assisting in creating and tracking the learning-related budget.
  • Generating regular reports on program and training metrics.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a learning and development role such as trainer/facilitator, instructional designer, and/or managing related projects and programs.
  • Experience in a non-profit work environment is a plus.
  • Experience with a LMS and using course authoring software Is preferred; (Articulate a plus)
  • Familiarity with local training resource.
  • Experience facilitating, developing, and launching leadership development programs.

SALARY

$69,000 to $78,000
