Adjunct Faculty – Physical Education (Water Aerobics) Priority Application Date: April 1, 2024, open until filled. Anticipated Start Date: May 20, 2024 POSITION DESCRIPTION Taft College is seeking a pool of qualified candidates with demonstrated instructional skills to join an outstanding team of faculty and staff to provide high quality programs and services for our students. Teaching assignments may be temporary, part-time and/or on-call and may be immediate or as needed (as specified in Education Code 8748.25). We are seeking lecturers who have the ability to teach in the above area for inclusion in a pool for the Summer 2024 semester. Note: Taft College Physical Education (Water Aerobics) Course(s) for this position is going to be offered Only in Person (on campus). Adjunct teaching opportunities may include teaching day or evening courses. We are looking to fill the following course at West Side Recreation and Parks Pool: PHED 1529/1629/1729 MTWR 0540-0705pm at NAT QUALIFICATIONS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS The minimum qualifications for this adjunct lecturer pool can be met in one of three ways: Master’s in physical education, exercise science, education with an emphasis in physical education, kinesiology, physiology of exercise or adaptive physical education OR Bachelor’s in any of the above AND Master’s in any life science, dance, physiology, health education, recreation administration or physical therapy OR An Equivalency Determination may be submitted along with all application materials to be considered for this position if you do not meet the stated minimum qualifications.
