Ametek, Inc. Job description: SUMMARY: Perform in-process, final inspection and test of completed components and subassemblies and to fabricate test fixtures and prototypes as necessary. Component level electronics experience required. Essential duties, responsibilities or skill sets include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Perform receiving, in-process and final inspection on parts, sub-assemblies, and assemblies, and complete required documentation. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: Perform incoming inspection on material and components. Read and interpret electronic schematics, diagrams and bill of materials.. Perform visual, mechanical and electrical inspection on product. Knowledge of component level electronics Experience using Oscilloscopes, Multimeters, Power Supplies, Test Fixtures and Signal Generators. Inspect for manufacturing or non-manufacturing defects with regard to material returned from the field. Trouble shoot nonconforming products to component level. Complete check lists, tags and data sheets as necessary to accurately maintain records of tests performed. Maintain inspection history card and non-conformance report files. The ability to solder to acceptable workmanship standards. The ability to wire, and generate prototype hardware. Perform periodic calibration of test equipment and maintain detailed records of calibration Performs other duties as requested, directed or assigned. ESSENTIAL SKILLS: Ability to work overtime when needed with short notice REQUIRED. Ability to perform multiple tasks at the same time. Ability to follow workplace safety standards and company policies and procedures. Ability to work in a team setting and contribute to building a positive team spirit. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Good manual dexterity, Soldering skills, Knowledge of arithmetic, IOS9000 procedures and protocol, Blueprint reading Ability to organize and prioritize to meet deadlines. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Minimum high school diploma or general education degree GED required. One year certificate from college or technical school or five years of related experience and/or training, in a manufacturing environment. SKILLS & ABILITIES: Ability to speak, read, analyze, and interpret, in English, documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Must possess excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, in English. Some basic computer skills. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
