Astria Health is seeking a Patient Customer Service Representative to join our team! This shift will be Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm.

What you get to do every day!

As the Patient Customer Service Representative, you will beresponsible for managing and collecting outstanding patient balances. This role involves direct interaction with patients to address their account balances, negotiate payment plans, and ensure that payments are received in a timely and efficient manner. You will:

  • Monitor and manage patient accounts with outstanding balances.
  • Contact patients regarding their account balances, providing clear and accurate information about charges, insurance adjustments, and balance due.
  • Negotiate and set up feasible payment plans with patients, considering their financial situations.
  • Process patient payments and post to their accounts. Provide receipts and payment confirmations as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service, handling patient inquiries and concerns with empathy and professionalism.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all communications and transactions with patients.
  • Ensure all collection activities comply with applicable laws and regulations, particularly regarding patient privacy and financial transactions.
  • Work closely with the customer service team and other departments to resolve billing issues and improve patient satisfaction.
  • Collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries.
  • Adheres to the core values and standards of the organization.


Requirements

What you bring to the role:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent. .
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD-10, CPT codes, and healthcare billing practices.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with data entry and software systems.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in healthcare billing software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Oral and written fluency in the English language.

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental, and retirement benefits, and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive compensation range for candidates hired into each position. Pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
