Job Description Summary

In this critical role, you will lead commercial and risk management processes for Unisys engagements including deal structuring, contract structuring, contract negotiations, risk management and deal onboarding. Our projected sales require a greater concentration of support required in the US&C Region

Responsible for leading global, complex, multi tower IT and BPO deals in both presales' engagements and post-sales accounts. Implementation of these activities shall be done in order to allow Unisys to achieve appropriate win rates for new business in association with appropriate financial and commercial risk results, including supporting business unit decision-making. May lead and mentor a team of commercial & risk management professionals to ensure that the commercial integrity of the business unit is maintained and enhanced through commercial activities and timely and accurate reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish strong professional relationships with region leaders, Unisys sales leaders and sales support, client executives, architects, delivery teams, HR, legal, finance, bid financial team, and procurement then effectively work with these teams in all aspects of the deal.
  • Create sound commercial and financial structure and risk balance for winning deals.
  • Develop an integrated negotiation strategy and associated contractual documents.
  • Review deal financial model; lead contract document development; develop contract negotiation strategy with regional leadership, lead contract negotiations and the alignment review of commercial agreement to deal financial model and service solution
  • Lead onboarding of all assigned deals including complete handoff to transition team to assure alignment of final deal terms to delivery implementation.
  • Participate in the Solution Verification Review Process. Maintain communication with region leader on terms outside guidelines and terms requested by the client that present notable concerns for Unisys with recommendations to address each.
  • Understand the key Unisys drivers of our P & L and the impacts of negotiating key commercial terms effect Revenue, Profit, & Cash flow
  • Ensure appropriate approvals are received from deal reviews for all submissions to client and final sign off from Legal, Finance, and Commercial leadership occurs prior to the execution of a Commercial Agreement.
  • Populate Commercial Management Knowledge Management portals with all deal artifacts and contribute to Commercial Management best practice and negotiations playbook intelligence. Participate, as requested, in Commercial global maturation activities. Participate in Deal Reviews on all assigned deals. Embrace process of global deal audits and reviews to improve skills and commercial results.


You will be successful in this role if you have:

Key Qualifications

*Bachelor's degree in law, business, accounting, finance, or similarly related subject preferred

*Minimum of 8 years direct experience in contract management and negotiation

*Extensive leadership experience in negotiating and closing ITO, BPO, or similar commercial agreements required

*Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Experience working with virtual teams and building effective business relationships.
