Job Summary

We are looking for a Training and Development Manager, Services to join our team to support Ingersoll Rand’s commercial air compressor segment. We are a services-led organization seeking a Training and Development Manager to play a critical role in maintaining our reputation as a best-in-class field service provider by taking ownership of the onboarding, training and development of our Service employees.

 

The Training and Development Program Manager will collaborate with key stakeholders to create, implement and continuously improve best-in-class Service training programs for Ingersoll Rand’s air compressor segment employees, and distributors, across North America. Training and Development Manager will seek out feedback to measure program effectiveness and adjust rapidly with innovative solutions to produce engaging and effective training programs. They will build relationships in the education sector to develop a pipeline of future Service employees ready to join an Early Talent Service program. This role will report to Director, Services and partner with regional Service Leaders, Supervisors and employees across North America.


Responsibilities

  • Develop, facilitate and oversee training curriculum for employees in the North America Field Services and Operations organization
  • Identify and assess the training needs of the organization through job analysis and consultation with managers
  • Evaluate, select and partner with trade schools and colleges in major markets to attract and hire employees into early career accelerated development programs
  • Develop individualized and group training programs that address specific business needs
  • Evaluate training program to ensure training is meeting business needs and improving service performance
  • Effectively communicate with team members and key work partners, virtually and in-person
  • Select and manage facilitator resources, including working with both internal employees, and 3 rd party training vendors, to develop and deliver training across North America
  • Develop training plan for Ingersoll Rand-authorized 3 rd party service providers
  • Manage the technologies required to develop, manage and deliver training
  • Stay abreast of training trends, developments and best practices
  • Develop and maintain a Service training and career advancement path
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement ideas
  • Maintain training records for team members
  • Work with Service and Operations managers to develop training plans for team members and assign team members to appropriate trainings
  • Create and communicate training schedule
  • Conduct training audits monthly
  • Develop training manuals as needed
  • Partner with HR and Safety to coordinate compliance training


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Engineering, or related field required
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a training role; ideally supporting a Service or Engineering organization
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in training and development management
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Superb track record in developing and executing successful training programs
  • Critical thinker with innovative problem solving skills
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, & PowerPoint), and other related business and communication tools
  • Fantastic organizational and time management skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Project management skills with teams made up of varying levels


Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements
Fully site based, 10%-20% Travel.  May travel up to 50% to participate in projects
