Summary: Responsible for assisting with the erection and repair of all buildings, pools, plumbing, HVAC, and miscellaneous items to insure a safe and efficient operation.

 

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs brazing, soldering, pipefitting and fabrication as required.
  • Operates various measuring, diagnostic and testing instruments.
  • Ensures that systems operate at peak efficiency using preventative maintenance methodologies.
  • Must be able to do basic plumbing repair and maintenance functions.
  • Responsible to inspect pools, buildings, etc., and report and repair any noted safety hazard to insure the highest standards of safety for our guests and employees.
  • Ensure that specifications set by ride manufacturers, corporate policies and the State of Maryland are complied with and documented.
  • Complete opening and closing duties.
  • Create a warm, fun, atmosphere for guests.
  • Keep all daily repair logs and journals current and accurate of maintenance performed.
  • Keep all work areas clean and free of debris.
  • Keep all assigned equipment and vehicles in safe, working order, accounted for and properly maintained.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Reporting Structure:

Reports directly to the Full-Time Plumber.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Must have 2-5 years of related experience and be able to work well in team environment.
  • Will be required to work various shifts as project and park needs dictate, including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot clearly, calmly and safely in the presence of guests, co-workers and park management in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must possess practical skills and proficient knowledge in two or more trades, from the following: mechanical, electrical, HVAC/R, plumbing.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must have tools and equipment to perform required duties and skills as defined above.
  • Computer literacy. Strong knowledge of all Microsoft applications.

Physical Requirements

Required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms, occasionally required to sit, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear, taste, smell, and may frequently lift and/or move 100 pounds. Specific vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus required. Must possess normal to average corrective hearing.

Must possess the mental and physical capacities necessary to perform the primary job duties, including climbing and working at heights up to and in excess of 150ft., crawling and working in confined spaces and lifting up to 100 lbs. Must be able to work outdoors in extreme temperatures. Must possess the physical dexterity to operate hand tools and motor vehicles.

Must possess strong safety sensitivity & ability to work with many different types of devices.

 

·         Supervising the daily operation of the Plumbing department

·         Developing and maintaining departmental budgets and expenses

·         Maintaining and installing all plumbing in park-owned properties.

·         Maintaining and installing all piping, drainage, venting ,all fixtures, leaks, backups, clogs and any other related issues

·         Winterization and startup of all plumbing in all the buildings

·         Interpreting blueprints and building specifications to map layout for pipes, drainage systems, and other plumbing materials

·         HVAC work including preventative maintenance changing filters, cleaning coils, changing belts and coordinating outside contract work

·         Refrigeration work including PM and diagnosing issues. Coordinate outside contractor work

·         Monitor and test fire protection pumps. Coordinate annual testing

·         Monitor sewer ejector systems

·         Monitor Fire protection piping and coordinate any outside contractor work

·         Repair any gas or propane leaks

·         Schedule hours for plumbing shop

·         Repair all air lines on rides and install new systems

·         Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
