*JOB SUMMARY:*
The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and treatment of care for patients under the supervision of a licensed physician.

*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:*
* Outpatient medical consultation services under supervision of a physician in our medical office.
* Evaluating, diagnosing, and treating new and existing patient’s medical conditions.
* Conducting follow-up patient care.
* Ordering and interpreting lab, radiology, and other diagnostic study results.
* Prescribing and referring patients for consultations when appropriate.
* Answering emergency telephone calls after hours and weekends on a rotating schedule.
* Administer and order drugs for patients.
* Complete all notes/tasks in patient’s EMR account indicating patient status and treatment procedures performed.
* Perform patient physicals.
* Providing health education to patients and families.
* Supervising/coordinating the activities of patient care and support staff within the clinic.
* Performs other duties as assigned in accordance with a nurse protocol agreement.
*QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:*
* Master’s in Nursing
* Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
* Current APRN licensure in Georgia
* Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration
* Clinical experience in Pediatrics preferred
