Pathways Development Program - Associate Merchant

About the Program:  Scoular Pathways Program is a two-year development program that immerses new graduates in broad-based, accelerated learning, developed to drive profitability through diverse experiences, active networking, and ongoing education.? Throughout the two-year program, the participants meet at our three main corporate locations to network, hear from leaders in our organization and learn more about Scoular and the industry.?At the end of the program, participants will have a deep understanding of Scoular's business and how to own what’s possible.  Program Perks:  In-person meetings with program participants where you’ll network, hear from leaders and gain exposure to various aspects of our business Accelerated learning and development outside of your day-to-day responsibilities Mentorship Program – you'll be paired with a mentor outside of your team to provide you with further guidance and insight to Scoular  Job shadows and rotations – if you’re interested in exploring other areas of Scoular, you can plan a rotation where you’ll sit with another team to learn more about their business   What you will do:  As an Associate Merchant, you’ll be immersed in a challenging, fast-paced environment to purchase, sell, and transport ingredients worldwide. By leveraging our complex agricultural supply chain across industries, you will: Develop skills to originate, buy and sell grain or other feed and food ingredients. Partner to develop, build and maintain varied business relationships and customer/supplier interactions as well as with transportation partners. Learn logistics and supply chain management, assisting or leading the execution of logistics planning. Develop an operational understanding of risk management Assist management in the preparation of financial forecasts and market trend analysis to interpret complex market dynamics. Build technical skills and understanding of contract management and accounts receivable for business team transactions.   RequirementsWho you are: Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree  Interested in a career where you can grow a business and collaborate across departments A natural relationship builder with the ability to network leverage existing relationships Self-driven with an entrepreneurial mindset  A strong communicator with a customer service mindset Comfortable working in high volume environment Quick to identify a problem and find the best solution Curious and creative, flexible and innovative in your approach  A natural leader with experience leading in clubs, athletics, projects, or student government Active in the community giving back on campus, your hometown, or on a global scale  Locations:  Scoular has over 100 locations around the globe. We’ll match and place you based on your experiences and interests, and our business needs. To learn more about our locations, visit our website at www.scoular.com/locations/. Our current position openings are in Nebraska, Kansas and Florida. About Us: Scoular is an employee-owned $9B agribusiness leading the way since 1892.
