Firmware Lead Engineer

Firmware Lead Engineer Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a Firmware Lead Engineer for a contract position in Houston, TX. The opportunity will be nine months with a strong chance for a long-term extension. Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities: Technical:Develop embedded C code based on complex flow chart, and state diagram to control electromechanical system Develop firmware stack for RS-485-based communication Perform bench and lab testing of firmware Develop product functional requirements and software specifications based on customer inputs Develop software architecture, hardware abstraction, and reusable software components Support and troubleshoot software bugs and issues in customer products used in the field Project Management:Interface well with other teams to perform root cause analysis and develop proposed solutions to production problems. Coordinate with customer production engineering and maintenance teams to lead equipment repairs and projects. Present and justify design decisions in design review meetings Firmware development using Embedded C, Communication protocols - RS485, SPI, I2C, wireless communication - WiFi, Bluetooth, Microcontroller - 8/16/32-bit If this job is a match for your background, we would be honored to receive your application!
