Facilities Maintenance Manager - 099 San Diego, CA, USA Req #254 Friday, March 1, 2024 U.S. Facilities Inc., an integrated facilities management company, is seeking a Facility Manager for a potential project located near San Diego California. The Facility Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day business operations of our client account and provides senior technical and operational support to the staff for the development of policies and procedures pertaining to all types of buildings managed by USF: including managing the performance of mechanical and maintenance staff/systems and maintaining continuity throughout to provide overall quality control for all properties. Responsibilities for this position include: Formulates and manages an effective service strategy, working closely with the client, supply chain, trade services, support center and business analytics to set annual goals, achieve continuous improvement and deliver superior client outcomes. Manage relationships with all contractors, overseeing estimates of capital projects, resolving billing issues and/or service issues as they arise. Establishes performance metrics around work order compliance, such as response time, completion time, overall completion percentage, etc. in accordance with account and/or internal metrics. Develop, implement, and manage Facilities Management service delivery, maintaining operational and commercial compliance. Cultivates productive and proactive working relationships with property management and other tenants to jointly resolve issues. Builds a strong team of technical experts to maintain infrastructure. Implement and direct the facilities management team in energy savings solutions that improve efficiency and decrease costs. Achieve reduction targets in MRO (Maintenance Repair Operations) expense and maintain staff levels. Meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in Customer Satisfaction, Safety, Quality, Financial, Work Completion, and recordable Incident Rates and Lost Time Accidents rates. Become internal reference for best-in-class service delivery that can be leveraged to expand USF’s business. Ensures a standard of excellence in quality and client satisfaction, through detailed quality control inspections of client sites and consistent follow through with all promises to clients. Manages to account budget, proactively identifying and preventing exceeding the plan. Coordinate all aspects and utilize resources with Human Resources and insurance carriers dealing with accident prevention, safety, and worker’s compensation. Participate in accident investigations to explore and implement corrective actions to solve unsafe causes. Provide Sr. Management as well customer quarterly updates with recommendations to continuously improve in the identification and correction of the leading causes of accidents and subsequent development of corrective programs. May not perform all of the listed duties and/or may be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth below to address business needs and changing business practices. This position requires compliance with our COVID related protocols, which may also include client-specific requirements. This might include, but is not limited to, either providing documentation of full vaccination as per public health mandate guidelines or agreeing to regular COVID testing. Requirements: Bachelor's degree required in industrial safety, mechanical engineering, safety sciences, safety engineering, or related field. 5-10 years of experience in facility management. One or more safety-related professional certifications desired (i.e. CHMM, CSP); Facility Management/FMA; Green Building Initiative/GGP; Building Automation/CSI/TAC; System Maintenance Administration/SMA; System Maintenance Technician/SMT. Comprehensive knowledge of the OSHA and federal ergonomic standards, experience in the interpretation of local and state environmental and safety laws and standards as it related to facilities management. Demonstrated knowledge of all building systems, i.e., HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc. Demonstrated ability to form positive collaborative partnerships with all levels within and outside the organization. Proven ability to partner with clients, tenants, and vendors. Demonstrated advanced level written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated organizational and follow-through/up skills. Demonstrated negotiation, budget preparation and management skills. Proven ability to develop, motivate and lead teams. Demonstrated project management experience.
