Title: Ultrasonic Immersion Inspector

Shift: 1st Shift, 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM

Salary: $31.52/hr, depending on experience

Location: Euclid, OH

Who we are:

Our client is a global manufacturer of complex aircraft engine components that are developed through highly integrated processes.

Ultrasonic Immersion Inspector role:

Functions as a one-person flowline. Sonic inspection equipment and appropriate gauges. Operator shall qualify to a minimum of Level II in Sonic Inspection non-destructive testing/inspection (NDT) in conformance to customer and Pursuit Aerospace requirements. Certification to include General/Specific/Practical exams in accordance with NAS-410. Job title shall be assigned on the compliance of qualification and certification requirements.

Ultrasonic Immersion Inspector Responsibilities:
  • Perform immersion sonic inspection.
  • Perform calibrations of ultrasonic test equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, factory routers, sketches and drawings, MSDS sheets and safety related information.
  • Intermittently use wrenches, small tongs, and powered hand tools. Periodically transport production materials (i.e. WIP, parts, tools equipment, salvage material, scrap, and waste) to the next operation or designated location throughout the facility utilizing a powered industrial truck, powered industrial walk-behind, or pallet jack.
  • Maintain logs, inspection sheets, and various other paperwork as required.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of work area.

About You:

  • Meet vision requirements – Jager 1
  • Be capable of accepting training to pass any required certification testing.
  • Previous Documentation of certification to a NAS-410 position in UT Immersion Level 2 experience, ScanMaster UT system experience preferred.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail while performing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good Mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Ability to follow documented procedures, work instructions and customer required records and to keep accurate records.
  • Basic algebra and trigonometry knowledge required.
  • Solid PC skills including MS Excel and Word
  • High School or equivalent
  • Flexibility – willingness to work in other areas of the milling department and inspection as workload dictates.
