Banyan Treatment Centers is currently recruiting for a Clinical Supervisor to join our team in Waelder, Texas.


The Clinical Supervisor will deliver services to individuals within primary mental health and substance use disorder populations. They are accountable for supervising general day-to-day clinical operations and providing direct supervision to Program Therapists and clinical support staff. Occasionally, the Clinical Supervisor is tasked with developing schedules for specialized individual and group therapies tailored to clients diagnosed with mental health and/or alcohol and/or other drug abuse or dependence. Operating under the guidance of their licensure, registration, and/or certification, the Supervisor adheres to the regulations, rules, and requirements set by the state and Federal government, as well as accrediting organizations.

Essential Functions:

  • Support the Clinical Director in various duties as required.
  • Engage in the development and training of clinical policies and procedures.
  • Maintain an efficient clinical organizational structure.
  • Provide direct patient services as necessary.
  • Complete baseline assessments and discharge summaries as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Director in recruiting and interviewing new employees.
  • Implement staff schedules and evaluate clinical staff performance based on specified standards in a timely manner.
  • Initiate appropriate counseling and disciplinary action for policy infractions.
  • Assist in establishing standards for patient care.
  • Conduct clinical chart audits weekly and as required.
  • Submit reports to Quality Assurance on a monthly basis or as needed.
  • Ensure timely completion of performance evaluations and create/provide growth plans for supervisees.
  • Coordinate ongoing provision of Clinical On-Call services.
  • Be available for off-hours crisis, as well as other non-crisis and disaster response needs.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of policies and procedures related to suicide risk assessment and be observed assessing patients based on suicide safety and concerns.

Preferences:

  • Designation as a Qualified Supervisor under licensure.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in social work (or a related Human Services field).
  • An active LPC-S, LCSW, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
  • At least 2 years of work experience in a management role.
  • Familiarity with the specific needs of a primary substance use disorder population.
  • Proficiency in understanding JCAHO standards, levels of care, and crisis intervention.
