Job DescriptionCompany Description
We are seeking a Medical Assistant to become a part of our team! You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to help patients get and stay well and to keep the medical office running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
- Regularly talk to patients and relay doctor's questions and instructions
- Perform routine clinical tasks to support the physicians including point of care tests like urinalysis and EKG
- Draw blood
- Administer injections and immunizations
- Communicate with insurance companies for proper billing procedures and prior authorizations for medications and referrals
- Measure and record vital signs to prepare a patient for a visit with the doctor
- Perform basic telephone triage
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments
- Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner
Qualifications:
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Reliability
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Previous experience in healthcare
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Superior customer service skills and a high level of professionalism
- Familiarity with medical billing procedures
- Affinity for working well as part of a team
