*Essential Job Responsibilities*
Evaluates, plans and organizes nursing care according to established policies.
Makes rounds on all residents daily.
Maintains comfortable and pleasant environment and promotes elimination of hazards.
Is responsible for the overall Assessment and Interdisciplinary Care Planning process.
Assists in interpreting the goals and objectives of the facility to nursing service personnel.
Defines duties and interprets policies of nursing service.
Performs any other responsibilities as discussed and designated by the Director of Nursing.
*EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE AND/OR TRAINING*
DON experience preferred.
The Director of Nursing must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing currently registered with the State agency for nursing licensure and hold a valid nursing license to practice in the state of Louisiana.
