Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Special Procedure Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for performing assessments, developing a plan of care, implementing and evaluating the care in a right heart catheterization setting. You will administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians and in keeping with the current clinical nursing practice.

•  You will perform patient assessments pre, peri, and post procedure in a right heart catheterization room
•  You will maintain a safe, aseptic environment
•  You will administer medications as ordered by the physician
•  You will assist all personnel, patients, and physicians as needed

Job Requirements

Experience

•  1 year of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
•  1 year of Special Procedure experience in a cardiovascular setting - preferred
• Cath Lab experience preferred

Education

•  Associate’s degree in Nursing (ADN)

Licenses and Certifications

•  Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License. If Compact License, Texas license must be obtained within 90 days of hire
•  Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per St. David’s Healthcare policy
•  Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Required
