Job Description
POSITION: Maintenance Planner
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
MANE is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner with at least 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with food industry experience preferred. Thorough understanding of preventative maintenance programs, as well as proactive measures for maintenance needs. Past experience as a maintenance technician is preferred.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop preventative maintenance (PM) schedule for all facility and equipment needs.
- Develop maintenance plans and task lists for PM’s in accordance with sites safety standards and manufacturer recommendations.
- Coordinate equipment PM’s with Production and Maintenance Teams to minimize downtime.
- Maintain equipment files to ensure they are complete and readily accessible by technicians.
- Act as team’s subject matter expert (SME) for maintenance related SAP functions.
- Create and maintain PM’s in SAP to ensure equipment is maintained per manufacturer recommendations.
- Develop training guides as necessary to assist technicians in maintaining equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Develop work plans to support shutdown activities.
- Act as the primary liaison between maintenance and MRO.
- Manage receipt of all incoming parts and equipment.
- Responsible for spare parts storage area: keep storage areas organized and ensure spare parts inventory is accurate in SAP/
- Assist in ordering parts and equipment for maintenance and engineering team.
- Research, request quotes, and order parts as needed for maintenance PM’s and work orders (WO).
- Assist Maintenance Supervisor in auditing completed PM’s and WO’s against Maintenance Team’s best practices.
- Assist Maintenance Supervisor in auditing the 5S program at the site.
- Ensures preventative maintenance practices complies with all food safety initiatives including building security, GMP and HACCP requirements.
- Participate in site’s Process Safety Management program: keep process safety information up to date, follow mechanical integrity program best practices, and ensure SAP master data is updated with accurate process safety information, including PM schedules and tasks.
- Follow all GMP & Safety rules and regulations.
- Follow all Sanitation, Food Safety and Quality Procedures.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Ten (10) + years of experience in maintenance in a manufacturing environment, with food industry experience preferred. Thorough understanding of preventative maintenance programs, as well as proactive measures for maintenance needs. Past experience as a maintenance technician is preferred.
- Computer skills are a must
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Past experience using SAP is preferred (maintenance module and purchasing functions)
- Working knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills

- Be able to lift 50 lbs.
