IT Intern (Summer 2024)

As the IT Intern, you will work as part of a small team in a fast-paced, high-energy manufacturing environment at our West Texas operations in Monahans and Kermit.

The IT Intern is a strong candidate for future employment consideration. It is an on-the-job training opportunity for the employee and a position that can be molded for the future of the company. Looking for a super-sharp, fast learner who has strong interest in Systems, Networking and Desktop Support.

Must be comfortable working in both a manufacturing environment outdoors and office environments. Must be a fast learner who has a strong interest in stepping into the technology field with a focus on customer service. You will experience all facets of Information Technology infrastructure: networking, voice communications, server administration, industrial processing, design, and project management.

This role will be based onsite at our plants in West Texas (Kermit/Monahans). This internship will begin on May 29, 2024 through August 9, 2024.

• Pay for students enrolled in an undergraduate program: $20/hour
• Pay for students enrolled in a graduate program: $22/hour

• Assisting Systems Administrators to maintain and support the Technology infrastructure employed in the Atlas Energy plants and mines.
• Provide level 1 and level 2 service desk support as well as backup support to other Operational Technology (OT) Infrastructure roles.
• Manage and maintain the Technology groups' asset inventory

• Junior or Senior working towards a Bachelor or Masters of Science in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (particularly Excel and PowerPoint)
• Demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills, time management, organizational and planning processes.
• Demonstrate the ability to learn to provide desktop hardware and software support for local and remote staff.
• Demonstrate the ability to learn to provide support for operational systems.
