Associated Veterinary Partners (AVP) is seeking a full-time Lead Licensed Veterinary Technician for the Village Veterinarian located in beautiful Chelan, WA.

Who is the MVP at AVP? YOU ARE!

This MVP will be assisting the DVM. He or she will support the doctors' recommendations and be able to confidently answer questions and explain things further if needed. Always anticipating the doctor's needs and always willing to lend a helping hand to their coworkers.

At least one year of practicing in a small-animal clinic is preferred. This is the perfect opportunity for an emerging technician, or anyone, a new graduate who wants to be mentored by a great medical director.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who possesses knowledge of animal health care, animal restraint techniques, and surgery preparation, in addition to being detail-oriented and having excellent communication and multi-tasking skills.

A commitment to client education and communication is a must for this position.

AVP seeks team members who strive to constantly learn and perfect their capabilities both professionally and personally and value and respect all team members Veterinary Technician

Duties:

  • Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
  • Perform routine procedures such as vaccinations, blood draws, and dental cleanings
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
  • Monitor and record vital signs of animals during procedures and treatments
  • Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
  • Take and develop X-rays of animals
  • Provide support to veterinarians during examinations and surgeries
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the veterinary clinic

Skills:

  • Excellent animal handling skills
  • Knowledge of animal anatomy and physiology
  • Proficiency in performing routine veterinary procedures
  • Ability to operate X-ray equipment and develop X-rays
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and veterinary staff
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
