1st and 2nd shift hours are available!
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate press brake machines to bend, form, and shape metal sheets according to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders to determine machine setup and production requirements
- Select and install appropriate tooling, such as dies and punches, based on the material being used
- Adjust machine settings to control the speed, pressure, and depth of the bend
- Monitor machine operation to ensure the quality and accuracy of the finished product
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments, such as calipers and gauges, to ensure they meet specifications
- Troubleshoot issues with the machine or tooling and make necessary adjustments or repairs
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements
- Proficiency in operating press brake machines and related equipment
- Knowledge of electrical discharge machining (EDM) techniques
- Familiarity with various types of tooling used in press brake operations
- Experience with lathe operations for tool maintenance and repair
- Ability to use hand tools effectively for machine setup and adjustment
- Understanding of CNC programming for automated press brake operations
- Knowledge of stamping press operations for metal fabrication processes
- Proficient in using precision measuring instruments, such as calipers, to ensure accurate dimensions
- Familiarity with plasma cutting techniques for material preparation
- Experience operating a forklift for material handling purposes
- Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles
