POSITION TITLE: Level III Technician, Fleet
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt

POSITION OVERVIEW:

ADB is seeking a Level III Technician, Fleet to perform maintenance and repairs on various sized trucks and construction equipment. The ideal candidate will have advanced diagnostic and repair knowledge, a customer centric attitude, and ensure a safe, clean, and organized work environment, with a strong work ethic and ALL IN attitude.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform preventative maintenance and advanced repairs on Class 1 - Class 8 trucks
  • Ability to diagnose and repair all sized engines, advanced electrical circuits, advanced hydraulic systems (including fabricating new hoses), electric/air brake trailers, A/C systems, and all HVAC
  • Ability to perform all preventative maintenance and repairs on light and heavy construction equipment
  • Ability to perform advanced fabrication work (Acetylene torch, plasma cutter, Mig and Arc Welders)
  • Occasionally reports to active construction sites to perform various repairs
  • Perform Annual DOT inspections on necessary trucks and trailers
  • Complete accurate detailed work orders after completion of every task
  • Provide coaching and assistance to all technicians, and ongoing support to SR technicians
  • Perform detailed Pre-Trip inspections before driving company vehicles
  • Provide other position duties as requested

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • This position operates out of a Fleet Services shop environment
  • Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, like sitting, squatting, standing, walking, and driving
  • Must endure regular exposure to all weather conditions, especially hot, humid and/or rainy spring, summer and fall weather, combined with regular work time indoors in environmentally controlled conditions
  • May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels on sites of projects being managed or coordinated
  • Must wear common protective safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats and high visible vest when working on-site
  • Maintain a neat and clean appearance; wear proper uniform at ALL times

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • 5+ years' experience as a Service Technician repairing various size trucks and construction equipment required
  • Formal technical training and certification preferred but not required
  • 8 ASE Medium Heavy truck, Air Brake Inspector, and DOT Inspector certifications preferred or willingness to obtain required
  • A/C 609 Certification required
  • Class A CDL w/ Tanker endorsements preferred; ability to obtain w/in 90 days of hire required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

this position pays up to $30/hr.
