Job Title: Wheeler Ticketing Coordinator
Department: Wheeler Opera House
Classification: Non-Exempt

Hiring Range: $24.47/hour - $27.61/hour

Salary Range: $24.47/hour - $40.01/hour


Position Summary: This position performs duties to support the box office operations of the Wheeler Opera House, also known as Aspen Show Tix at the Wheeler, providing optimal customer service and online ticket purchase experience, consistent with the organization's values and mission statement.
Supervision Exercised and Received: Works under the direct supervision of the Ticketing Supervisor. In the absence of the supervisor, this position supervises the Patron Services Specialist and intermittent Box Office Representatives.

Essential Job Functions:
Box Office Operations:
* Conducts daily box office ticket sales, processes special sales requests (complimentary, discount, group), and door sales at events both onsite at the Wheeler and at offsite locations.
* Manages box office staff onsite at the Wheeler or at off-site locations when the Ticketing Supervisor is not present.
* Maintains a comprehensive and advanced understanding of the cloud-based ticketing system software and supports the training of new staff.
* Performs within the ticketing system event set-up configuration, troubleshooting, report scheduling, correspondence for performance reminders, and oversees the delivery of integrated email marketing campaigns.
* Assists in resolving client and patron complaints and any emergent challenges that may arise.
* Prepares and reconciles daily deposits and financial business for the box office as needed.
* Collaborates with Patron Services Specialist on digital signage and printed marketing materials in Wheeler Box Office lobby.
* Operates a vehicle and travels to off-site locations to perform box office operations.
* Maintains accuracy in a fast-paced customer service environment.

Minimum Requirements:
Education: High school Diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience: Must have experience working in arts venue box office ticketing software, and at least two years' experience in customer service.
Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook (Email), and graphics software. Experience with sales management software. Must have a basic understanding of computers and online computer-based technology applications, which includes accessing web-based platforms.
Licenses & Certifications: Must possess a valid Colorado driver's license or be able to obtain one within 30 days of the start date.
NOTE: Any combination of experience and education that would likely provide the required abilities, knowledge, and skills as determined by the City of Aspen may be substituted for the requirements above.
Preferred Candidate: Bachelor's degree in a performing arts or business administration related field of study preferred.
NOTE: This position requires a Criminal Background Check upon hire. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a Criminal Background Check.
Position Type and Work Hours:
* Regular full-time, hours and days will vary with workload.
* Holidays will be required dependent on workload and staffing needs.
* Overtime will occasionally be required dependent on workload and staffing needs.

* Indoor: Wheeler Opera House Theater; office environment.
* Off-Site/Outdoors: Event management of off-site clients; meetings, trainings, and site visits at a variety of city facilities and areas.
