Summary of Position:

The Facilities and Procurement Manager is directly responsible for supporting Operations in the planning, organizing, and managing outside service providers for the maintenance, repair and appearance of restaurants and restaurant support buildings and grounds. In addition, the role is responsible to support the procurement and supply chain needs of Ruby Slipper.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with Operations for the purpose of managing projects for maintaining restaurant equipment and facilities.
  • Develops long and short- range maintenance plans/programs (e.g. emergency response and management plans, energy management plans, works within annual budget, etc.)
  • Directs projects (preventive maintenance, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring completion within established time frames, project design and budget.
  • Systematically audits the facilities for preventative maintenance execution and appearance standards.
  • Audits repair work, projects, equipment, work orders, for the purpose of ensuring that jobs are completed efficiently.
  • Partners with Operations Team in monitoring facility repairs and equipment performance.
  • Ensure PM’s are completed on time for all restaurants
  • Manages outside database of repair visits, ensures timely responses, helps decide along with supervisor when equipment should be replaced vs. being repaired for older, problematic equipment
  • Complete onboarding process for service providers as required
  • Maintenance of Vendor documents, to include COI renewals, contract renewals and updates, including doing spot audit of invoices to ensure proper rates are being charged
  • Ability to respond to building and equipment emergencies to support operations as needed
  • Travel to restaurants is important periodically. Overnight trips may be required occasionally.
  • Assist with procurement activities including supply chain needs, supplier management, agreement negotiation, finding solutions for out-of-stock situations and other related procurement needs.
  • Assist with looking for profit enhancing products and services to improve Ruby Slipper’s profitability.

Required Core Competencies:

Qualifications:

  • Preferred Bachelor's or associate degree in project management, or similar. A completed course in facilities management will be advantageous.
  • Three to five years prior experience with hands-on maintenance and repair of restaurant equipment and/or operational experience in restaurants or retail
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in facility coordination, project management and/or property management.
  • Knowledge of maintenance planning and schedules.
  • Proficiency in Office software, such as Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Excellent problem solving, time management, organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience with managing a P&L in the restaurant or retail categories especially COGs.
