Receptionist Specialist

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Welcomes patients and visitors in person or on the telephone, and answering or referring inquiries
• Scanning or updating pertinent patient information into EMR
• Answer patient questions and provide assistance and directions when necessary
• Utilize our medical office software to schedule visits for our patients
• Respond to emails that arrive using the general office email address
• Verify patient insurance benefits and collection of payments
• End of night balancing
• Any additional duties assigned.

Required/Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of medical insurance or Willingness to learn
• Outstanding customer service focus
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the organization’s needs as well as effective problem-solving skills
• Basic Math skills
• Ability to handle stress calmly and be flexible to change
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Dedication to maintaining confidentiality of all patient records
• CPR and BLS (preferred)
• eClinicalWorks experience (preferred)

Schedule

Quick Care Med offers a flexible schedule allowing a great work/life balance. The schedule is 4 10-hour shifts (8:30 am – 7:30 pm) alternating weekends. Quick Care Med is open 7 days a week.

Working Conditions:

This position reports to the Quick Care Med Office Manager. This position may require evening, weekend, or holiday work. This position requires many hours in a sedentary sitting position. This position may require travel to various office locations.

The final applicant must undergo a background screen
