POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Concrete Repair Technician to join our tribe. In this role, you will be responsible for performing concrete construction and repair tasks, with a focus on concrete raising. Your expertise in concrete repair methods, equipment operation, problem-solving, safety practices, teamwork, and quality assurance will contribute to the success of our projects.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Proficiency in various concrete repair techniques, including crack/joint sealing, familiarity with different repair materials such as  polyurethane foam.
  • Competence in operating concrete raising equipment, including slabjacking equipment, pumps, reactors, and power tools. Knowledge of equipment maintenance and adherence to safety protocols is crucial
  • Understanding of grading and leveling principles to accurately assess and correct uneven concrete surfaces. Proficiency in using leveling tools,2’,4’,6’ levels, or other measurement instruments
  • Ability to identify and diagnose concrete-related issues, such as sinking or settling slabs, voids, or inadequate support. Strong problem-solving skills to determine the most suitable concrete raising techniques and strategies
  • Thorough knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to concrete construction and repair. Awareness of potential hazards and the ability to mitigate risks associated with concrete raising operations
  • Effective collaboration with tribe members, contractors, and clients to ensure seamless project execution. Strong communication skills to convey technical information, provide recommendations, and address client concerns
  • Attention to detail to deliver high-quality and accurate concrete repairs. Familiarity with industry standards and best practices to ensure durable and long-lasting results
  • Commitment to staying updated with the latest advancements, techniques, and materials in the concrete industry. Willingness to pursue relevant certifications or attend training programs to enhance professional skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred. 
  • 1-2 years of experience in a concrete construction or heavy labor role.
