Job Details

We are looking for qualified CNC Programmers like you! Founded over 100 years ago, we have become one of the lead manufacturers of large gears, and their components, in the United States. As a custom job shop, every day brings a diverse set of challenges and successes. Our Programmers provide invaluable skills to our production team and take our gears to the next level.

Primary CNC Programmer responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Create instructions for CNC Machinists
Review 3D CAD design blueprints
Run calculations for programming- including where materials should be cut
Translate instructions into computer automated manufacturing program (CAM)
Run simulations and tests on completed programs
Write and modify CNC machine programs
Work with the manufacturing team to improve efficiency
Monitor open projects ensuring blueprints are followed is a safe and efficient manner
Troubleshooting to correct problems during system operations, contacting IT when needed
Create and maintains procedural documentation


A prime Programmer for this position would

Have strong problem solving and analysis skills
Possess superior computer and communication skills
Be highly motivated, dependable, and detail oriented.
Be able to work independently
Possess knowledge of metal shop work
Stay current on new programming technologies as they emerge


Required Education and Experience:

High School Diploma
Associates degree in CNC Programming, or a related computer or mechanical field
Knowledge of electronics and machine tools
5 years of experience in Machine Programming


Preferred Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Precision Machining, Computer Programming, or computer-related field
Continuing education on new techniques and technologies
National Institute of Metalworking Skills Certification
Certification from an accredited technical school
