About this job

Primary Duties
•Provides leadership and direction to operational team members responsible for executing of PACS
•Plan, organize and direct the activities of team members
•Provide training and coaching to team members on assigned shifts
•Coordinates, manages and monitors the workings within assigned area. Ensures production performance KPI's are tracked and overall goals are set, maintained daily, and continuously improved.

•Understanding, tracking, and improving KPI's are vital to the Assistant Operations Managers success and the success of the organization
•Ensures campus and PACS regulations, guidelines and best practices are executed within assigned area
•Serves as a LEAN champion; spending time inside the operation coaching team members to focus on safety, quality and productivity
•Ensure adequate inventory is available to produce requested orders
•Manage key operational information to establish clear production schedules and capacity capabilities align with customer forecasts
•Coordinates with site leadership to manage resource requirements to meet production schedules
•Develops plans for effective use of materials, equipment and employee resources
•Ensure cross shift communication
•Focuses on continuous improvement and growth opportunities through collaboration with campus and PACS leaders, engineering and supporting workstreams
•Understand PACS P&Ls to identify improvement opportunities
•Evaluates the efficiency and productivity of team members by establishing performance standards and objectives and assist the Operations Manager and/or Senior Operations Manager with conducting regular performance appraisals

Preferred qualifications:

2 years of experience with as a Customization subject matter expert, shares market knowledge, and influences business needs and commercial results in the areas of:

    • Decoration services
    • Personalization equipment such as embroidery, etching, engraving, and direct to garment preferred
    • Experience with design and digitalization software preferred
    • Experience leading packing, light manufacturing, and/or assembly operations preferred but not required


Environment
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. The employee is required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles and can be exposed to extreme heat and extreme cold including climates consistent with outside weather
conditions.
