Material Handler

The Role
We are currently hiring a skilled Material Handler for our Parts Distribution location. This individual will be responsible for understanding and adhering to all warehouse processes, inventory accuracy improvements, and general operational checks and balances of our global parts distribution operations.

Responsibilities

• Materials from designated areas to/from the production floor using a forklift and/or other Transport conveyance methods
• Prepares outgoing materials using various methods and equipment, including scanning, labeling, wrapping/packaging, etc
• Completes required paperwork to accompany outgoing materials, such as Inter-company Bills of Lading
• Uses systems technology to input and retrieve inventory and parts data
• Assesses material needs for assigned Production area(s) throughout the shift and pulls materials using an information system to support the production schedule
• General housekeeping of the work area
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods, up to 12 hours a day & frequently and repetitively lift, push, and carry up to 50 lbs., including the ability to carry 50 lbs. up and down stairs
• Stoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, twist, and crawl for extended periods
• Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, or other high structures
• Ability to find issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, and hearing
• Wearing Personal Protective Equipment, including safety glasses, safety shoes, bump caps, and adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines
• Passing the hands-on forklift certification during new hire training and maintaining certification throughout employment is a requirement for this role
• Periodic re-certification is required
