Role Summary

The Securities Operations Service Senior will be required to gain a thorough understanding of all requirements associated with corporate action processing activities and the interrelated functions of other Shareowner Services departments that are involved in the process. Duties may include transaction processing, resolving complex customer issues that are associated with the corporate actions process, ensuring shares and cash are in balance, balancing corporate action bank accounts and verifying accuracy of the transactions processed.

Business Function

Corporate Actions assists our clients embarking on a merger, acquisition, spin-off, bankruptcy emergence or other corporate event, our dedicated team oversees their transaction from beginning to end, structuring it to their specific needs and timeline. Our goal is a smooth event for the client and their shareholders.

Core Duties/Responsibilities

  • Handles the corporate action events including election offers, stock splits, stock dividends, spin offs, as well as others for the Corporate Actions team

  • Responsible for successful processing of the corporate

  • Receive election forms and other legal documentation and review for accuracy and completeness.

  • Duties may include transaction processing, wiring payments, resolving complex customer issues that are associated with the corporate actions process, ensuring shares and cash are in balance, balancing corporate action bank accounts and verifying accuracy of the transactions processed.

  • Performing a variety of balancing tasks.

  • Will be responsible for maintaining a high level of accuracy despite complex transactions and periods of high volumes.

  • Manage and resolve email inquiries from clients, relationship managers and other operational teams in a timely manner.

  • Will be required gain a thorough understanding of all requirements associated with corporate action processing activities and the interrelated functions of other departments that are involved in the process.

  • Handle critical production and/or escalation issues.

  • Will be required to work a flexible schedule, which may include overtime, during periods of high volume.

Skills, Capabilities and Attributes

  • 3+ years in a financial services or complex environment.

  • Performs a variety of operational tasks for complex securities or cash related transactions that require extensive knowledge of unit functions and systems.

  • Differentiating, processing, and reconciling transactions; researching inquiries; resolving customer complaints; reviewing time sensitive and/or complex documents; creating or revising departmental procedures.

  • Coordinates situations involving multiple departments.

  • May provide department level reporting using multiple sources.

  • May provide training or work direction to junior level staff. Provides back-up to other desks.

  • May have extensive customer contact; works under minimal supervision.

Education

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent

Compensation: $19.00 - $21.00 Hourly
