The Opportunity with McKinstry

We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our growing Finance and Accounting team. In this role, you will manage the Accounts Payable operations and team. Other tasks include:

• Prioritize and manage day-to-day processing & resource needs of all vendor invoices, daily PO imports, postings, and invoice entries with established production timelines are met.
• Development & delivery of training to new and existing team members related to AP, Invoice & PO processes.
• Creation and maintenance of internal processes and procedures.
• Provides accounting assistance to project managers and operations staff; responds to financial questions/concerns to meet business needs.
• Responsible for the interface between 3rd party image vendor and ERP system.
• Partners cross-functionally with Purchasing and/or other departments to solve and strengthen processing efficiencies & support.
• Serve as a primary backup to the Manager and peers within the department when needed.

Supervise

• Prioritization of daily production needs & task assignment to team members.
• Manages reconciliation reporting and daily transaction posting.
• Trains, mentors and manages staff in effective tactics to attain team goals.
• Creates and produces daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly metrics (KPI's) to measure production, performance and established departmental goals.
• Creates performance plans, assesses performance and provides performance feedback as well as succession plans for direct reports.
• Maintains and creates departmental processes and documented operational procedures.

What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry

• Must have demonstrated proficiency for all the responsibilities of Accounts within a Procure to Pay environment.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience working with large-scale ERP (tier 1 or 2) systems required.
• Experience supervising within a procure-to-pay team, under a paperless processing environment, workflow, electronic invoice import, creation of import templates and formatting.
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field or equivalent work experience required.
• Seven (7) years of accounting experience required.
• One (1) year of leadership experience required.
• Knowledge of state mechanics lien law procedures and sales tax laws pertaining to construction preferred.
• Knowledge of lump sum and cost-plus billing procedures preferred.

The pay range for this position is $58,410 - $94,100 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location.
